Matthew P. Johnson has joined our law firm after recently graduating with honors, from the University of Miami School of Law in Miami, Florida. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin after passing the Wisconsin Bar Exam and Multi-State Bar Exam. He was born and raised in Racine County attending William Horlick High School, and did his undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
His work experience during law school was diverse. It included work at the trial division of the Miami-Dade Public Defender's Office felony division, as well as work in the field of federal criminal defense with a renowned Chicago law firm. He represented many individuals charged with serious crimes and gained valuable experience. His practice is now concentrated in the areas of criminal defense, family, and personal injury law.
He joins our firm's belief in the importance of giving back to the community in volunteering and public service. He has volunteered for many events and organizations in Racine, including Habitat for Humanity and the Racine Zoo.
His family law practice includes adoption, initial filings for divorce, and modifying cases involving child custody, support, and maintenance. His personal injury practice includes injury cases of all types including, and not limited to, auto accidents, slip and fall, uninsured motorist cases, and other insurance related matters. His criminal law practice includes defense of all types of criminal cases, including felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic.
The Racine community is forever changing in its social issues and needs. Matthew is looking forward to this challenge in providing quality legal services to address these needs.
