Matthew P. Johnson

Matthew P. Johnson is the newest partner and shareholder in our law firm. He joined our law firm in 2007 after graduating with honors from the University of Miami School of Law in Miami, Florida. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin after passing the Wisconsin Bar Exam and Multi-State Bar Exam. He was born and raised in Racine County attending William Horlick High School, and did his undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

His practice is now concentrated in the areas of criminal defense and family law. His family law practice includes adoption, initial filings for divorce, and modifying cases involving child custody, support and maintenance, grandparents' visitation and paternity adjudications. Attorney Johnson handles a substantial number of family law cases per year including many with complicated custody, placement and financial issues. His criminal law practice includes defense of all types of criminal cases, including felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic, with experience in misdemeanor and felony jury trials.

He joins our firm's belief in the importance of giving back to the community in volunteering and public service. He has volunteered for many events and organizations in Racine, including Habitat for Humanity, the Racine Zoo, and as a judge for local high school mock trial competitions.

The Racine Community is forever changing in its social issues and needs. Matthew specializes in providing quality legal services to address those needs throughout the community.
